Senior Cisco Network Architect Job Opportunity- CALGARY, A..

Our client is seeking a Senior Cisco Network Architect in Calgary
Alberta. The position is a 2 month contract with the possibility of
being extended.

Job Details:
The person in this role works within a Team of 3 to upgrade 6500 Users
to Cisco VSS + VRF platforms. Specifically, the primary
responsibilities of this position include implementation of the
upgrade project.

- Enterprise network technology development, design, and
implementation.
- Investigate, recommend, and implement technologies for the
enterprise.
- Leverage Cisco routing and switching technologies to solve
enterprise and local networks requirements
- Design procedures and policies for management of enterprise,
research, and test bed networks
- Serve as a subject matter expert for networking
- Implementation of VSS + VRF

Skills Required:
Required Qualifications:
- Five to seven years experience in network engineering and design
- Advanced knowledge of Cisco hardware and IOS, switching
technologies, Internet routing protocols
- Cisco CCIE
- Project management skills
- Demonstrated interpersonal, communication, and organizational
skills

Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in computer science or related field
- In depth understanding of Cisco routing and switching
- Solid foundation in network security such as Cisco VSS + VRF
- Ability to handle multiple tasks
- Ability to quickly and independently solve technical problems
- Highly self motivated and directed
- Expert knowledge of networking technologies
- Strong customer service orientation
- Knowledge of documentation standards
- Strong problem solving skills
